The Status of Bariatric Surgery in the UK
This meeting is a chance for surgeons to reflect on the current delivery of bariatric services in the UK and their future development.
It will include representatives of BOMSS, AUGIS and ALS who are responsible for the constant improvements in the patient experience, most recently with the bariatric database, and will be chaired by the President of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr John Black.
The scale of the public health challenge, the disease model and current UK & International practise will be discussed and the final Round Table discussion aims to issue a consensus statement on bariatric surgery in the UK
